Saturday, 12 May 2012, IkamvaYouth Chesterville visited Elangeni College ( Pinetown Campus ) for their Open Day.
This was to give our Matriculants a chance to see alternative study opportunies as well as take part in Career Guidance.
We took part in various presentations and learnt more about Diplomas, National Vocational Certificates, N4- N6, Certificates as well as Skills Training Courses
which are all qualifications offered with the full and part time programmes available at Elangeni College.
Learners also had a chance to complete an FET College Questionnaire for NCV that would assist them in selecting a suitable career field.
This was a great experience for our learners who are looking at learning about ALL the different access routes they have to post school opportunities.
At the end of the day, learners received a gift package that included a CAO Booklet and Form, a NYDA Career Guidance booklet as well as a pen, lanyard and mini water bottle all from Elangeni.
We look forward to visiting more colleges, universities and other programmes within our Career Guidance with our Matrics.
