Eligibility requirements and how to apply: 

Learners currently studying grade 12 or have completed Grade 12 and have gained admission to an Institution of Higher Learning. Bursaries for South African citizens only, with preference to those from the Eastern Cape province.

Applicants need to provide the following:

  • Proof of admission to recognised SAQA accredited University or Technikon
  • Salary advice / affadavit of family financial circumstances
  • Certified copy of ID
  • Senior certificate and progress report from institution
  • Applicants need to indicate if they're sponsored by another agency
  • Applicants must be willing to serve teh Department as part of their contractual obligation after completing their studies on the basis of one year for each year of study
