The Academy is providing training for the following professions:
Student Medical Laboratory Technician (2 years)
Grade 12 Mathematics, Science and/or Biology
Phlebotomy Technician Learnership (2 years)
Grade 12 Mathematics or Maths Literacy, Science and/or Biology is advantageous
Student Laboratory Assistant (1 year)
Grade 11 Science and/or Biology
Trainee Depot Administrator (replaces Depot Clerk programme) (3-6 months)
Grade 12 and customer service experience
Trainee Data Capturer (3-6 months)
Grade 12 and typing speed of 35 wpm with 90% accuracy
The following documents must accompany your application:
• Certified copy of your ID
• Certified copy of your final Grade 11 report
• Certified copy of your final (or most recent) Grade 12 report
• Certified copy of results from any tertiary studies whether the course is complete or
incomplete
• Two completed personal recommendations (Pg 7/8) one should be
academic and the other a non-relative.
Desired Competencies and Abilities (for all programmes):
Read, write and speak English fluently
Read, write and understand basic Afrikaans
Work effectively as part of a team and independently
Work under pressure and study rigorously
Possess a well developed work ethic
Willing to collect and/or process blood and body products
Provide excellent service and be responsive to customer needs
Work shifts and after hours as required
